6 reasons to use cake sprinkles

Using confectionery toppers, glitter sugars, sugar crunches, sprinkle shapes or any kind of cake sprinkle is a trend but can you tell us why it is so? Only for decoration? Of course that’s the basic idea but there are other reasons too.

Sprinkles are tasty

Jelly beans, sugar crunches, slices and sugary sprinkle shapes— those are so yummy that we just cannot help but sprinkle on the cakes as much as we can.

We can eat them just like that

Forget decorating a cake. When you’ve got a cupboard full of fudges, gold shimmer chocolate chips, glimmer sugar pearls… just open the pouches, tubs or packs, whenever you feel like, and grab a handful, just like that.

Make children eat the bases

Children often refuse to eat cakes and cookies if those are not garnished with premium toppings. To make them eat, we need to shed hard labour. We need to cover the bases with creamy and tasty icings and then sprinkle tasty adornments so that we can persuade them to eat the bases.

To trigger envy

An innovatively designed cake topped with edible glitter sand, sprinkle shapes or confectionery toppers, placed right in the middle of a laid out dinner table can actually make your guests feel envious. They will praise but will also feel jealous.

Most of the time the story ends with a counter invitation where the hostess tries hard to prove that she can do the art better than you.

To impress your sweetheart

A cupcake platter with icing swirls and sprinkles on the top, served to your sweetheart with evening tea can make a nice impression. And of course you have too many occasions round the year to show how good you are in baking and decorating cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, Halloween or Christmas.

To boost your mood

If you are in love with icing, jelly beans, sprinkles, choco chips, meringues and so on, try cake decoration as an instant mood booster. It’s healing.
