CAKE SPRINKLES

Cake is one of the confectionary item without which any celebration is not complete. They are used in the celebration of every special occasion whether be it a birthday, engagement, marriage, anniversary or any special achievement. None of the above is consider complete without cake cutting. Cakes are children’s delight. Cakes are decorated to make it look beautiful and delicious and the same time represents the occasion to be celebrated.

Sprinkles
 There are many items with which a cake is decorated and sprinkles are the most widely used confectionary item. Sprinkles are tiny, colourful candies items which are used to decorate various dessert items such as cake, doughnuts, cookies etc. There are many items for decoration which can be called as sprinkle because they are sprinkled on the dessert items.  But officially speaking, the tiny, opaque, oblong, cylindrical shaped or round shaped candies are called as sprinkles. They need a frosted or creamy surface to stick to the surface of the dessert. Since, they are very tiny in size and difficult to count, they are also known as hundreds and thousands. They are made from sugar and water, mixed with gelatin and natural colours to make colourful sprinkles. They make the dessert very crunchy, colourful and enticing. Apart from cylindrical sprinkles, there are other kinds of sprinkles such as dragee, sanding sugar, crystal sugar and pearl sugar. The sprinkles are also available in a variety of shapes and sizes as well. They are available in bags of 100g, 200g, 500g and 1Kg and in sachets of 10g and 50g.
